Calling Bingley Senior Runners : Join our Bradford Millennium Way Relay Teams on Sunday 12th June. It starts and finishes in Bingley and the relay legs are between 8 and 11 miles to cover the 47 mile route in five legs so we need 10 runners for a team. The terrain is a mix of footpath, road, trail and bit of fell but nothing technical. You run as a pair so are never alone and there will be recces organised in the run up so you certainly won’t be running ‘blind’ or navigating on the day. Entry is £80 per team so £8 each. We often have 3 or 4 teams (ladies, men, mixed) so there is space for all comers and all paces. You have to be over 18 and a member of Bingley Harriers.
You don’t need to have any experience of racing before or to be any sort of speed machine. I’ll pair you up with someone at a similar speed and make sure that at least one is confident with the route.
Last year we had 4 teams including 9 ‘new to off-road relay’ runners – lets see if we can beat that this year.
