1 Mile Championship
Due to safety concerns around the hot temperatures forecasted for Tuesday 19 July, a decision has been made to postpone the event to Tuesday 13 September.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 37C on Tuesday and still be in the 30’s in the evening and there is a Red weather warning for the day. These are difficult temperatures for everyone as we are not accustomed to them and runners may not have trained in, or be used to competing at these high temperatures. Also the event is open to Juniors (from U11, ages 9 &10) and we were especially concerned for them, and volunteers and helpers who have to be stood out on the field . There is no shade on the Rugby fields where the event was to be held.
