Calling Bingley Senior Runners : Join our Bradford Millennium Way Relay Teams on Sunday 11th June. It starts and finishes in Bingley, with 5 relay legs of 8-11 miles, covering 47miles in all. You run in pairs so we need 10 for a team. The terrain is a mix of footpath, road, trail and bit of fell but nothing technical. You run as a pair so are never alone and there will be recces organised to help you learn your route. It’s a really lovely route and a great opportunity to see different parts of the area. Don’t worry about being a ‘speed merchant’ or having had previous experience of an ‘off-road relay’. You will be paired up with someone at a similar speed and we will aim to ensure you are confident of the route. We often have 3 or 4 teams (ladies, men, mixed) so there is space for all comers and all paces. We want as many teams out as possible and lots of new runners to experience the fun of a big team relay event. You have to be over 18 and a member of Bingley Harriers. Entry is £100 per team so £10 each.
In 2021 we had 4 teams including 9 ‘new to off-road relay’ runners – lets see if we can beat that this year. If you are not running but would like to be involved, help with the logistics of a point to point relay is always welcome, as is any support along the route so come and join in the day and help your fellow runners, team and club.
