The Hutton Roof Fell Race runs alongside a Country Fair so it makes a great day out for the whole family, with earlier Junior races too. The race is suitable for ‘novice’ and ‘expert’ fell runners alike, with a flagged route so no major navigation problems other than finding the start! Advised to allow good time for travel.

In addition this year the race will be thinking about Darren Kay, who went missing while running in Madiera last year, and all those close to him. A special Darren Kay trophy will be awarded to the winner.

All the races are run under Fell Runners Association rules – see Requirements for Runners on https://www.fellrunner.org.uk/documents.php. Assume you need full kit and note that electronic / GPS navigation aids are not allowed in races.

If you are new to the fells but would like to give it a go we can help with advice, kit, maps etc. I would like as many people to join in as possible even if you can’t manage 6 events to score.
We are also targeting teams at the English Fell Champs races and relay teams for the Bradford Millenium Way and the October Fell Relays – details under Disciplines.
