Pendle Cloughs – No 4 in the Club Fell Champs, the first Long race at 22.5km (14miles) and the third English Fell Championship Race. With a Long race there will be lots of route choices so we can look forward to some good recce days out to explore and get some good hill work in.

Full details of the Club Fell Champs are in the Fell section under Disciplines. All the races are run under Fell Runners Association rules – see Requirements for Runners on https://www.fellrunner.org.uk/documents.php. Assume you need full kit and note that electronic / GPS navigation aids are not allowed in races.

I would like as many people to join in as possible even if you can’t manage 6 events to score.
We are also targeting teams at the English Fell Champs races and relay teams for Calderdale Way (Sun 19 May), the Bradford Millenium Way (Sun 9 Jun) and the October Fell Relays in the Lakes – Hodgson Brothers Mountain Relay (Sat 5 Oct) and the British Fell Relay (Sat 19 Oct). Even if you are new to the fells we can help you build your fell skills and experience so you are ‘ready to relay’, and October comes around surprisingly quickly ;-).
