A ‘short’ Pennine race featuring the some of the best of Calderdale. Starting in the hilltop village of Heptonstall, the route plunges across a deep neighbouring valley and then up to the top of a nearby peak. It then returns in similar fashion with an almighty uphill finish. All terrains – cobbles, grassy fields, muddy slopes, rocky bridleway and open moorland, some of it pathless. Look up occasionally and you’ll get some great views. All this plus FREE FINISH LINE PINT! (Thanks to Nightjar Brew Co) – then a free music festival!
